Art for Heroes run art workshops for sufferers of Combat Related Trauma, to provide safe respite through creative self expression, helping sufferers regain confidence, self esteem towards achieving a better quality of life.
We also use collaborative art exhibitions, to raise public awareness of CR-PTSD, using art to create a bridge of understanding between sufferers and the community, as well as raise funds for the charities that help veterans whose lives have fallen apart.
We are a group of volunteer artists who passionately believe in using art to provide respite to CR-PTSD sufferers, and using art to raise public awareness of the invisible wounds of war.
Art for Heroes and Aftermath PTSD were created as not for profit social enterprises, by artist John McDermott, who is also a war veteran and sufferer of CR-PTSD.
